Health Officials Try And Track Down Zika Mosquitos

The State Department of Health and Human services is hiring two scientists to figure out where two types of mosquitoes capable of transmitting the Zika virus live in North Carolina.

Health officials say it’s still not clear the virus will ever make it to the state, but want to be prepared if it does.

At least one case of the Zika virus has been confirmed in North Carolina, after the patient traveled to a country with an outbreak.
