Monroe School Psychologist Charged With Assault

UNION CO., NC– 53 year old Dayle Rust, II is charged with Simple Assault.

He’s worked for the Union County Public School System since 1994.

The alleged assault happened at Monroe Middle School last Thursday. Monroe police say rust turned himself in once he learned there was a warrant for his arrest.

He is suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
