Speed Street Music Line Up Announced

The fans asked for a higher quality andΒ more current artists, and we heard them loud and clear,β said Jay Howard, president of JHEΒ Production and 21-year producer of the annual event. βIn order for guests to best enjoy our much-improved artist lineup on Friday and Saturday nights, we have decided to gate the headliner concertΒ area. Controlling access to the main stage allows us to manage capacity while delivering a qualityΒ guest experience.β
For only $15 per night, guests can experience the hottest country acts on the Coca-Cola stage alongΒ with Friday night special guest Montgomery Gentry and Saturday night opener Kellie Pickler. WithΒ the exception of the Friday and Saturday night music performances, all other Circle K and KangarooΒ Speed Street presented by Coca-Colaβs activities remain free to the public.
The Coca-Cola stage will be located near the corner of South Tryon Street and East Stonewall StreetΒ during the May 26-28 festival. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday night performances are on saleΒ Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m. ET for only $15 per night and can be purchased atΒ http://600festival.com. Concert gates open each night at 6 p.m.
Appearing on the Coca-Cola stage Friday, May 27 is Montgomery Gentry, an iconic country musicΒ duo that has earned three platinum albums, a gold album and five number-one singles with anthemsΒ like βMy Townβ and βWhere I Come From.β Shortly after, Young will take the stage to sing many ofΒ his chart toppers including βGetting You Home,β βThe Man I Want To Be,β βVoices,β βWho I AmΒ With Youβ and βIβm Cominβ Over,β among others. He has earned two gold albums and sevenΒ number-one singles in the last decade.
Opening entertainment for Saturday, May 28 will be Albemarle native Pickler who has released fourΒ albums in her career. Her newest album features title track βThe Woman I Am,β βBonnie andΒ Clyde,β “Little Bit Gypsy” and “No Cure For Crazy.”
With multiple gold and platinum singles, The Band Perry will take Circle K and Kangaroo SpeedΒ Street presented by Coca-Cola by storm Saturday with its blend of country, rock and pop. The BandΒ Perry, Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry, released their self-titled debut album in 2010 featuring twoΒ number one singles: the sextuple platinum song βIf I Die Youngβ and platinum βAll Your Life.”
The second album βPioneerβ spawned two additional number one singles βBetter Dig Twoβ andΒ βDONEβ (the first for brothers Reid and Neil as songwriters) plus hits βDonβt Let Me Be LonelyβΒ and βChainsaw.β The band is currently working on its third studio album.

The three-day, family-friendly festival in Charlotte delivers an unprecedented consumer experienceΒ to fans by means of live entertainment, access to racingβs brightest stars and interactive displays fromΒ sponsors including Circle K, Coca-Cola and more.
As a precursor to the Coca-Cola 600 held at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the festival will entertainΒ thousands over the course of three days. The event has been promoted and produced exclusively byΒ JHE Production since 1996.
With the exception of the Friday and Saturday night music performances, Circle K and KangarooΒ Speed Street presented by Coca-Colaβs activities remain free to the public including sponsor displays,Β musical entertainment, access to a variety of food and beverage, a kidsβ zone and much more. TheΒ festival opens each day at noon ET.
In addition, fans can enjoy these family-friendly events in May including Movies on the Campus onΒ May 6 in conjunction with Jiggy with the Piggy in Kannapolis; Haulers on Union in Concord onΒ May 19; the Little 600 at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville May 24 and the PNC Speed Street 5KΒ and Kids 600 Yard Fun Run on May 28.
