49ers WNIT First Round matchup set for 7 p.m. Thursday

Charlotte Finished the Regular Season with a 19-11 Record

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte 49ers athletics and the women’s basketball program have announced a 7 p.m. start time for Thursday’s WNIT First Round contest against Wake Forest inside Halton Arena. The Niners are back in the postseason for the 13th time in the last 14 years.

Charlotte owns a 19-11 record heading into the postseason, tying for the most appearances in the last 14 seasons of any current Conference USA member. Head coach Cara Consuegra has led four of her Niners squads to the postseason, tying for the most of any coach in program history.

Wake Forest carries a 16-15 ledger into the 14th all-time meeting between the two programs, including the third in WNIT action.
