Cannon, who is currently serving a 44-month prison sentence in West Virginia after he pleaded guilty to accepting money from undercover agents while he was the Mayor of Charlotte, will be transported from federal prison to Mecklenburg County Wednesday.

Cannon reportedly voted on October 30, 2014 after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge.  Cannon was on house arrest at the time.  It is illegal for convicted felons to vote.
