CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested two people involved in the robbery and kidnapping of a pizza delivery driver.
On February 24th at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a Papa John’s on the 1600 block of E. 4th Street in reference to a kidnapping.
The victim was delivering pizza when he was approached by two suspects in a vehicle who pointed a gun at him and forced him to get into the vehicle.
They then drove him to an ATM where they withdrew funds from the victim’s bank account and stole additional property. The suspects then let the victim out of the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction of travel.
Brayon Triston Rhodes, 20, was arrested on March 9th. Shannon Scott, 26, was arrested on Tuesday for her involvement in the case.
Rhodes and Scott have been charged with First Degree Kidnapping, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
