Paris Attack Suspect Arrest In Belgium
Europe’s most-wanted fugitive, and one of masterminds behind the Paris Terror Attacks has been captured alive after four months on the run.
Salah Abdeslam was wounded during a dramatic anti-terror raid in Brussels today.
Four others were arrested with him. Tonight, Belgium police say more arrests could come very soon.
Abdeslam is a key suspect in the November 13th Paris attacks that killed 130 people. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Police tracked down Abdeslam after discovering his fingerprints during a raid earlier this week.
He’s believed to be the driver who dropped off three other terror suspects at Stade de France, one of the attack sites. His suicide belt was found on a nearby street. It was never detonated.
Abdeslam was actually questioned and released following the attacks before authorities knew he was involved.
Police say three others arrested today helped him stay hidden since then.
