UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Jacorei Davis. They say the shooting was not a random act of violence.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating after a person was shot and killed in West Charlotte Saturday.
The shooting happened around 1:50 pm at Donald Ross Road and West Boulevard.
Medic responded and pronounced the person dead at the scene.
No further information has been released at this time.
