The victim in Tuesday morning’s fatal accident has been identified as 45-year-old Sebastian Jackson.
Police say they have also discovered Jackson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say the northbound lanes on Brookshire Boulevard near I-485 have reopened following a fatal accident early this morning.
The accident happened around 2:52am Tuesday on Brookshire Blvd. at I-485. Police say the driver of a Nissan Maxima was killed when they ran into the back of a dump truck headed northwest on Brookshire.
Investigators are saying that alcohol and speed were factors in the accident for the driver that was killed.
The driver, 52-year-old Robert Bailey, and passenger, 24-year-old Candace Coffey, of the truck were not injured in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing and we will continue to update this story as more comes in.
