iv.      Billy and Kimmy will get treated soon

     v.      PREVENTION IS THE BEST SOLUTION – Heartworms in dogs are easy to prevent, but difficult and costly to cure.

Q: How do dogs get heartworms?

Only by the bite of an infected mosquito. There’s no other way dogs get heartworms.

Therefore, a dog who tested negative once CAN become positive therefore putting your dog on a preventative protects them!

Q: If one dog has heartworms, can he give it to my other dogs?

No. the only way heartworms are transmitted is through the bite of an infected mosquito.

CATS FOR ADOPTION

It’s kitty season and we have many kitties in foster care planning to come back to the shelter.

Here are a few that are available for adoption.

Please spay  / neuter your cats and dogs to stop over population.

So many of these babies DON’T make it safely to a no kill shelter where they are treated, loved and fixed!!!

1 unfixed cat can produce 100-400 offsprings in 7 years!

Be part of the solution and SPAY/NEUTER your pets.
