House Speaker Ryan Says He Will Not Run For President
“Thanks, but no thanks…”
That’s what House Speaker Paul Ryan said today on the long-shot prospect of him running for President.
During a news conference this afternoon, Ryan tried to put to rest any speculation that he’d consider accepting the Republican Party’s Presidential Nomination if none of the current candidates win it outright.
“Count me out. I simply believe that if you want to be the nominee for our party, to the the president, you should actually run for it. I chose not to do this. Therefore I should not be considered. Period. End of story.” said Speaker Ryan.
The speaker says a late entry would only further divide the GOP.
