2013 Cold Case Homicide Arrests

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Anthony Makuson, 25, and Montez Davis, 30, have been charged with the murder of Roy Bethea Jr.

As a result of the investigation, detectives identified Makuson and Davis as the suspects in the case and obtained warrants for their arrest.

Makuson and Davis were located on Wednesday without incident and transported to police headquarters. They have been charged with Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, 1st Degree Breaking and Entering, and Second Degree Kidnapping.

Detectives determined that the victim and suspects knew one another and this was not a random act of violence.
