CHARLOTTE, N.C.– A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher has been arrested and charged with taking indecent liberties with a student, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office website.
Duncan Gray is a teacher at West Charlotte High School where he also serves as the band director.
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesperson confirmed that Gray is suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
Police say the investigation started after a male came forward and said Gray sexually assaulted him several years ago at the school. Police are asking additional people to come forward if they have been victimized by Gray.
