GASTONIA, N.C.– A 72-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder after Gaston County Police say he shot and killed a man Saturday night.
Gaston County Police were called to a shooting in the 100 block of Haywood Terrace around 11 p.m. Saturday. They say there was an argument before the shooting.
EMS transported the victim to Caromont Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
72-year-old Tom Jones Deason has been charged with one count of second degree murder and is in the Gaston County Jail.
