Deputies: Two Arrested After Drug Dealer Calls Detective By Mistake

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Investigators say two people were arrested after a woman inadvertently called an undercover detective thinking he was someone else.

According to a press release, the detective continued to have a conversation with Angela Juarez, acting as if he was the person she intended to call.

Detectives say Juarez ended up having several phone conversations and offered to meet up with the undercover detective to sell him drugs.

An undercover surveillance operation was conducted in an attempt to purchase the drugs from Juarez. Β Investigators say Juaraz and Robert Castillo took money from the undercover detective and immediately left the area after realizing he was not who they thought they called.

Juaraz and Castillo were both taken into custody a short time later. Β Juarez was charged with conspiracy to sell meth, resisting officer and served with outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear, larceny and first degree trespassing.

Castillo was charged with possession of meth, conspiracy to sell meth and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
