CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they have arrested a man who shot an employee at a business in east Charlotte in November 2016.

Lester Artis is accused of shooting an employee at the Family Dollar store on East Sugar Creek during a robbery attempt.  The employee survived the shooting.

Artis was taken into custody on April 18th.  He has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting injury.
