CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 22-year-old dead Friday night in East Charlotte.
Police were called to the 1700 block of Darbrook Drive around 10:10 p.m. They say there was an altercation between multiple people before they arrived.
Police also responded to Novant Presbyterian Hospital after a woman was admitted with an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased by emergency room staff.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jasmin Flores.
Detectives are currently interviewing a man who they say fired a gun at the scene.
