Monroe Pastor Arrested For Sexual Assault Of Child Worked For Union County Public Schools Until 2015

UPDATE:

Officials with now say Ahmad Lee worked for Union County Public Schools for two years and left in 2015.

UCPS officials say that the charges are not related to UCPS. Lee was hired in December 2013 and worked as an After School Program Group Leader. He resigned in 2015.

MONROE, N.C. — A Monroe pastor has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault on a child that occurred in 2014.

Ahmad Lee, 36, was arrested on Monday by Monroe Police, and charged with Indecent Liberties with a Child and Assault on a Child Under 12.  The charges stem from a case dating back to 2014 when the alleged victim was 11-years-old.

Mr. Lee is the Pastor of the “Judah House of Praise International World Ministries” in Monroe, where the victims family attended church. The church meets at the Jameson Inn in Monroe. The alleged assault occurred at Mr. Lee’s residence.

The investigation is ongoing, as there may be more victims.  Mr. Lee is being held in the Union County Jail under a $20, 000 secured bond.
