Monroe Pastor Worked For Union Co Schools

UNION CO., NC– “There may be potential other victims out there,” said Pete Hovanec with the City of Monroe.

Monroe Police are getting the word out to anyone who had contact with 36 year old Ahmad Lee. A boy says lee sexually assaulted him in 2014. According to an arrest warrant, the assault happened at Lee’s home on Millstone Lane in Monroe. The 11-year old says Lee “held him down on the floor and put his hand over his mouth.”

Lee is a pastor for Judah House of Praise International World Ministries which operates out of a Monroe motel. Police believe the victim was a church member

“This individual was in a position of authority and had potential access to other individuals,” said Hovanec.

And not just at church but at Union County Public Schools.

Union County schools confirmed Lee worked as an After School program Group Leader, not a teacher, they say from 2013 to 2015. Though they say since he’s no longer employed with the school system they would NOT tell us which schools he worked with.

Lee is out on $20,000 bond, we saw a car pull in his garage but no one answered the door Tuesday afternoon. Neighbors say it’s scary knowing how many kids live nearby.

“The busses stop right here, all four of him so he’s right by all of them,” said a neighbor.

“If there’s anybody that feels they may have been inappropriately touched or harmed in some way to come forward,” said Hovanec.
