Thousands Expected At Bark In The Park Top Dog Festival

If you love dogs, the place for you on Saturday, April 30th is the 2016 Bark in the Park Top Dog Festival presented by Purina® and Harris Teeter. WCCB Charlotte’s CW is the media sponsor for this event.

The event, which drew more than 5,000 people last year, will return to Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s festival offers something for everyone including performances by the Max Fast Flyball team, food and product vendors and several free contests. Just prior to the start of the event, the 2nd annual Doggie Fun Run will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Make sure to check out the WCCB Charlotte street team, who will be giving away lots of prizes.

10 a.m. – Event begins
10:30 a.m. – Long Shot contest – Center Ring
11 a.m. – Huntersville Police Department K-9 Unit demo – Demo Ring
11:30 a.m. – Smallest Dog contest – Main Stage
Noon – Top Dog winner announcement – Main Stage
12:30 p.m. – Owner Look-A-Like contest – Main Stage
1 p.m. – Huntersville Police Department K-9 Unit demo – Demo Ring
1:30 p.m. – Largest Dog contest (height) – Main Stage
1:45 p.m. – Largest Dog contest (weight) – Main Stage
2 p.m. – Best Costume contest – Main Stage
2:30 p.m. – Max Fast Flyball @ Charlotte – Demo Ring
3 p.m. – Toss & Catch contest – Center Ring
3:30 p.m. – Cutest Puppy contest – Main Stage
