CMPD says they have arrested 27-year-old Olajuwon Carithers and charged him with DWLR (Driving While License Revoked).
CHARLOTTE, NC — Drivers should avoid South Tryon Street this morning after an earlier accident took down power lines and has the road closed.
The accident happened on Camden Road at South Tryon Street just north of West Boulevard. A car crashed into a power pole causing several downed lines. Crews are still working to assess and repair the damage.
It is estimated that the area could remain closed until 12pm Thursday.
Use South Boulevard as an alternate.
