LENOIR, N.C. — Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit and run in Lenoir.
The accident happened Thursday morning just after 6am on Blowing Rock Boulevard. Investigators say the woman was attempting to cross the road when she was struck by a vehicle.
Police say another vehicle then struck the woman while she was lying in the roadway. The driver of the second vehicle that struck the woman reportedly drove off.
Detectives need help locating the driver of a dark colored pickup truck that left the scene traveling north on Blowing Rock Road. Call 911 immediately if you have any information about this incident.
The identity of the woman has not been released at this time.
