LENOIR, N.C. — Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit and run in Lenoir.
The accident happened Thursday morning just after 6am on Blowing Rock Boulevard. Β Investigators say the woman was attempting to cross the road when sheΒ was struck by a vehicle.
Police say another vehicle then struck the woman while she was lying in the roadway. Β The driver of the second vehicle that struck the woman reportedly drove off.
Detectives need help locating the driver of a dark colored pickup truck that left the scene traveling north on Blowing Rock Road. Β Call 911 immediately if you have any information about this incident.
The identity of the woman has not been released at this time.
