UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly plane crash in Union County.
The crash happened Friday just after 4 p.m. Sheriff confirmed the plane is an ultralight and crashed on Poplin Road, north of Monroe.
The victim has been identified as Robert Schroll, 59, from Pageland, South Carolina.
