Apparently the feeling was mutual.

The Panthers sent three picks in this year’s draft to the Cleveland Browns to move up 16 spots and select Worley in the second round at No. 77 overall. Fifteen picks earlier, Carolina took Samford cornerback James Bradberry.

The Panthers gave up their third (93rd overall), fourth (129) and fifth-round (168) picks and got Cleveland’s third and fifth-rounder (141). In addition to Cleveland’s fifth-rounder, the Panthers still hold a seventh-round selection for the final day of the draft Saturday.

Worley, a 6-1, 202-pounder, passed on his senior year to turn pro after ranking in the top 10 nationally with six interceptions and 15 passes defensed in 2015.
