CHARLOTTE, N.C.– A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle was hit and killed Saturday in west Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. in the 1900 block of Remount Road.
The boy was riding behind a car and turned left in front of a 2008 Ford Explorer when he was hit.
The boy was transported to CMC by Medic where he was pronounced dead.
Police say speed and alcohol were not a factor.
The driver, Benjamin McPherson, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license.
