CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have identified the driver killed in a wreck in southeast Charlotte. Investigators say Todd Greene, 48, was killed after his vehicle crossed the double yellow line and crashed head-on into a tractor trailer.
The wreck happened just after 7am Monday morning on Steele Creek Road at Hamilton Road. The driver of the tractor trailer truck, Michael Allen, was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. Police say Greene was speeding prior to the accident.
