Couple Arrested After Infant Daughter Found With Fractured Bones
SALISBURY, N.C. — Deputies say two people were arrested after their infant child was found with serious injuries in Rowan County.
Detectives say they were at Ronald Rhinehardt’s home working a burglary investigation involving stolen guns when they realized the child was injured.
Rhinehardt, 33, and Angela Moneymaker, 32, are facing felony child abuse charges after their 2-month-old child was found with multiple fractured ribs, a fractured arm and a fractured leg.
An arrest warrant says Moneymaker failed to provide medical care for her daughter after learning her husband, Rhinehardt, had shaken the baby.
Investigators say the child has been released from the hospital and is currently in DSS custody.
