CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A memorial service for a fallen firefighter has been set for Saturday. Richard Sheltra was killed over the weekend while battling a three-alarm fire at a shopping center in Pineville.
Sheltra’s memorial service will be held at Forest Hill Church on Park Road at 12pm Saturday.
Sheltra was a volunteer firefighter with Pineville Volunteer Fire Department. He was awarded the Rookie of the Year Firefighter award in 2015.
