Officials Release Photo Of Potential Witnesses To Fire That Killed Pineville Firefighter

PINEVILLE, N.C. — Officials with the Mecklenburg Fire Marshal’s Office have released a photo showing potential witnesses to the fire that killed a Pineville volunteer firefighter over the weekend.

Officials are hoping someone can help them identify the people in the photo.  The potential witnesses were patrons of the Outback Steakhouse located on Pineville-Matthews Road.  The patrons were sitting at the patio between 8:30-9:30pm Saturday, April 30th, according to investigators.

The fire broke out at the Edwin Watts Golf store which is located near Outback Steakhouse.  Volunteer firefighter Richard Sheltra was killed in the fire.  A memorial service for Sheltra is planned for Saturday at 12pm at Forest Hill Church on Park Road.
