Shots Fired In Gastonia Robbery

GASTONIA, NC– Shots were fired during a convenience store robbery in Gastonia. Tonight police are looking for that suspect.

It happened at the La Media Luna Number Two Mini Market on Bessemer City Road just before 11:30 this morning.

Investigators say the suspect fired two shots inside the store. No one got hurt.
Neighbors describe a hectic scene.

Gastonia Resident Alan Rhoden says, “Well I mean we had officers from the very beginning to the dead end street, with fully automatic weapons, housed around looking for suspects.”

The man got away with some cash. Investigators say a second suspect many have been working with him.
