Registered Sex Offender Arrested for Threatening Officer
BELMONT, N.C. — A convicted sex offender was arrestedΒ WednesdayΒ forΒ making threats toΒ aΒ Lincolnton officer.
In 2015, Detective Heavner charged 47-year-old Scott Webb with Soliciting a Minor by Computer for a Sexual Act andΒ Delivering Marijuana. Due to his conviction, Webb became a registered sex offender.
InΒ March and April of 2016, Detective Heavner began to receive threateningΒ emails andΒ voicemails. An investigation determined that the emails andΒ voicemails were being sent by Webb.
Webb has been charged withΒ Communicating Threats, Cyberstalking, and Harassing Phone Calls.
