SALISBURY, NC — Deputies are investigating after a man was shot in the stomach early Wednesday morning during a home robbery.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office says the break-in happened around 5:30am on Glock Court. Multiple suspects broke into the victim’s home, demanded money, and then shot the man in the stomach.
The victim, a black male, was taken by AirCare to Baptist Hospital for treatment. There’s no word on his condition at this time.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing, but investigators do believe that this was not a random act. They think the victim was targeted by the suspects.
