Arrest Made in Kannapolis Homicide

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police have made an arrest after finding a man dead in his Kannapolis home on Tuesday.

Police were called to 2000 Chris Ann Lane at approximately 9:45 a.m. Tuesday morning regarding a death investigation. Upon arrival officers found Arthur Lee “Buddy” Davis, 79, deceased.

The Kannapolis Police Department obtained warrants on Wednesday for the arrest of David Dover for 1st Degree Murder and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Officials say the two men knew each other well as they were co-workers at a local Kannapolis car dealership.
