Rock Hill Assistant Principal Facing More Charges in Sexual Misconduct Investigation

The victims say Kenneth Williams used academic threats and intimidation to manipulate young girls into sexual relationships.

ROCK HILL, SC — The victims say he used academic threats and intimidation to manipulate young girls into sexual relationships.

The latest charges include accusations that he sent nude pictures and video of himself to a 16-year old student.

“He manipulated me,” a 16-year old girl told the courtroom Thursday. “Just knew how to work me.”

Northwestern High School assistant principal Kenneth Williams is facing more charges; some related to a second victim, who was 16 and a student at the time.

He was accused of sexual misconduct with another student last month and charged on six counts.
Now the 30-year old faces six more, including sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of disseminating obscene material, for sending nude pictures and videos of himself masturbating to his victims.

His first accuser says Williams developed a friendship with her mother first.

“He knew how to show girls safety, but also turn them around and try to make them like slaves,” the first accuser told the judge.

“At this point he remains on paid administrative leave with the school district,” says Rock Hills Schools Communication Director Mychal Frost of Williams’ employment status.

And Williams could stay that way through the duration of a trial thanks to personnel policy.

The investigation is in the hands of Rock Hill Police, and has been since the initial allegation in April.
Rock Hill Schools says they are working with police, and working to reassure troubled parents and students.

“We have communicated with our families, and we have informed the parents what we can tell them about the case,” says Frost. “And we have encouraged them to talk to their children.”

“I bet, in his mind, he was thinking I’m not going to get caught, and the opposite happened,” says a student we talked to at Northwestern HS. “I, honestly, didn’t see anything bad with him. You know everything that you do in the shadow usually stay into the shadow, until it comes to light.”

The judge set Williams’ bond at $1.2 million, and said he considers Williams a threat to the community.
