GREENVILLE, S.C. — A student was shot at Southside High School in Greenville Friday morning.
Officials say the shooting happened inside the cafeteria around 8:30am. A school spokesperson said the student was conscious and was transported to the hospital by local EMS crews.
The high school was placed on lockdown and 2 nearby elementary schools were also placed on lockdown. Police say there is no active search for a suspect. Students are expected to return to class shortly.
No other injuries were reported. There is no other information available at this time. Check back for updates.
