STATESVILLE, NC — Police are looking for two suspects after one person was assaulted with a gun and another was shot Sunday night.
The incident happened Sunday night on 1st Avenue at Brevard Street. Police say two men broke into the home with guns and demanded money. The suspects then pistol whipped one victim and shot the other in the leg. They then ransacked the house taking money, jewelry, a cell phone, and clothes before fleeing the scene.
Police say the suspects were two black males wearing hoodies and face masks. One is also described as 5’10” with a thin build, but there are no other descriptions at this time.
