HICKORY, NC — Hickory Police have arrested two teenagers for the armed robbery of a Walgreen’s early Thursday morning.
Police say 16-year-old Trystan McClain and 17-year-old Ahmad Smith were arrested Friday and charged with the armed robbery of a Walgreen’s on N. Center Street around 3:45am Thursday. Both teens were given a $50,000 bond for the incident.
McClain was also charged with armed robbery in Granite Falls by Granite Falls Police. Police say that robbery happened at the Murphy Express on Hickory Blvd around 3am Thursday. McClain also faces another $50,000 bond in that case.
Police in Hickory and Granite Falls say both investigations are still ongoing.
