Rock Hill Couple Charged With Murder

ROCK HILL, SC– A Lancaster man accused of firing 16 shots into a car, killing another man inside, is denied bond.

Ernest Thompson is charged with murder.. His girlfriend Lauren Rawlinson is charged with accessory after the fact. Both made their first court appearance today.

Rock Hill police say Thompson shot 20-year-old Isaiah Shinn in an apparent drug deal on Cherry Laurel Lane.  It happened around 12:30 last night.

Rawlinson witnessed the shooting.  Two other people were in the car, but weren’t shot.

“It’s just by the grace of god that we only have one victim. We could have 3 victims.” said Detective Bruce Haire of The Rock Hill Police Department.

Rawlinson’s bond was set at $100,000.  This is Rock Hill’s third homicide this year.
