Fire Destroys Home In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Officials are investigating after a fire destroyed a home on Volunteer Court early Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around noon on Thursday at a home on Volunteer Court in east Charlotte. It took 23 firefighters about 30 minutes to control the fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

According to a neighbor the renters of the home were kicked out yesterday by the homeowner.

Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
