Bonnie Raitt's new album, Dig In Deep, comes out Feb. 26.Raitt will appear in Charlotte, on October 26th at Ovens Auditorium, as a stop on her “Dig in Deep” tour.

Although several musicians have canceled their performances in North Carolina, Raitt still plans to perform in the fall. Regarding her decision to perform in North Carolina, Raitt offered the following statement:

“To show our support and solidarity with the citizens of North Carolina who embrace equality, diversity, respect, civil rights and justice for all human beings, we are bringing the Dig In Deep Tour to Charlotte on October 26th and will donate a portion of net proceeds from the show to local and national LGBT organizations, including Equality NC and Human Rights Campaign. Funds raised from our regular tour fundraising programs will be donated to local, grassroots organizations dedicated to environmental protection and safe energy.  As we do on all stops of the tour, we will welcome local non-profit organizations to do information tabling, and in Charlotte the focus will be support of the LGBT community and advocacy for non-discriminatory policies across the board in the state of North Carolina.”
