Speed Street: Road Closures & Event Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This weekend marks the return of the annual Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In pairing with the race will be Charlotte’s annual Speed Street festival, featuring tons of delicious food and live music. The festival begins on Thursday; however, those streets where the event will be taking place are going to be shut down for set-up starting on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. until Sunday, May 29th.

Tryon street between Trade Street and Stonewall Street will be closed down, except for one lane at 500 South Tryon Street between Levine Avenue of the Arts and Stonewall Street that will open at 6:30 p.m. for the Green deck to exit. Drivers can also expect Levine Avenue, between Church Street and Tryon, to also be closed. On Thursday, May 26th, College Street through Church Street will be closed down as well.
