For many, Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the summer season. That being said, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will be opening up outdoor pools and spraygrounds for the long weekend. Admissions for pools will be $1 while spraygrounds are free. Dates and times for the locations are as followed; pools will be open from noon to 6pm through the week, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. From May 28 to September 4th the pools will be open on weekends and from June 13th to August 26, they will be open throughout the week. If your child is by chance looking for swimming lessons, both pools will offer free lessons that can be signed up for starting on June 15th. Lessons can be scheduled in person every Wednesday starting at noon with children starting the following week. However, be sure to get there sooner than latter as these are first come, first serve. Spraygrounds will be operational from May 27 to September 5th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Here below are the locations designed to help you cool off this summer.
