Update in Murder Case

Today, May 27th 2016, CMPD Detectives managed to charge Lionel Octavius Prince with the murder of Fredrick Antwone Butler, which took place back on April 7th at Helms Road. Information and evidence in the case pointed to Prince as the most likely suspect and arrest warrants were obtained while the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team assisted in locating him. The VCA managed to arrest Prince without any incident and he was transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by Homicide/ADW Unit Detectives. Prince has now been charged with murder and 1st Degree Burglary. Anyone who has any remaining information on the case is encouraged to call 704-432-TIPS. Currently, Detective Helms is the one assigned to the case.
