Police Searching for Charlotte Hit and Run Suspect

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle involved in a hit and run on Wednesday.

At approximately 1:23 p.m., the victim was attempting to cross the 4000 block of North Tryon Street when he was struck by a silver/grey Pontiac Montana. The vehicle did not have a license plate.

The car struck the victim and left the scene without notifying police or rendering aid. It proceeded towards Sugar Creek Road and cut through the parking lot of Rite Aid, and then exited onto East Sugar Creek Road towards The Plaza.

The suspect driving the vehicle is described as a White or Hispanic Male in his 30’s. The vehicle will have driver side front damage to the bumper area, damage to the left front headlamp, and missing the driver’s side (left hand) mirror.
