MORGANTON, NC — Deputies in Burke County and the SBI are searching for two men they say fatally shot a man early Thursday morning.
The shooting happened at a mobile home park off Jamestown Road just after midnight Thursday morning.
35-year-old Christopher Williams was taken to CMC in Morganton where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have identified William Pate, 29, of Morganton and Cordero Thompson, 27, of Valdese as the suspects in the case.
Pate is wanted on a warrant for the murder of Williams, and Thompson is wanted on a warrant for accessory after the fact of murder.
