Four Teens Arrested After Shots Fired During Prearranged Fight

Charlotte N.C.  —  Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Hickory Grove Division have charged Shomari Anthon, Ivan Antonelli, Antigua de Jesus, and a 15 year-old male juvenile for their involvement with an incident involving an assault with a deadly weapon.

On Tuesday, June 7, 2016,  Hickory Grove Division Patrol Officers responded to an assault with deadly weapon incident that occurred at the 5600 block of Wallace Cabin Lane that left one victim shot. That victim was eventually transported to Carolinas Medical Center suffering from a non-life threatening gun shot wound.

Further investigation revealed that the group of teens were gathered for a prearranged fight when unknown suspects began firing guns and fleeing in a silver minivan.

Additional evidence and information led to officers locating the silver minivan near Piney Grove Road where three individuals were identified as being involved in the incident and arrested. Two guns were seized while the three suspects were taken to the Hickory Grove Division Team Office where they were interviewed by detectives.

After the interviews, the three suspects were charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. Both Anthon and Antigua de Jesus were subsequently transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office while the juvenile was released to his parents’ custody.

Detectives still believe that there is a fourth suspect, who has yet to be identified. Anyone with information regarding this suspect or the incident is asked to Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or visit the website at http://charlottecrimestoppers.com/.
