Cam Newton is Done Dabbing
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is saying goodbye to the Dab.
According to ESPN, Newton is working on a new touchdown celebration to replace last season’s popular dance move.
Newton first performed the Dab during an October game against the Seahawks. It drew national attention during a November game against the Titans. Tennessee players took issue on the field, linebacker Avery Williamson confronted Newton, and a mother who attended the game with her 9-year-old daughter wrote an angry open letter to the quarterback.
Despite the controversy, Newton continued to Dab and the move became a way for Panthers fans to cheer on their team.
The Panthers took to Twitter to share the news on Thursday.
