Gov. McCrory Speaks Out On CMS’ Transgender Rules
CHARLOTTE, NC– Governor Pat McCrory is weighing in on CMS’ new regulations for transgender students. Transgender students will be able to use the bathroom of their choice and will be called the name and pronoun they choose.
McCrory’s statement reads, in part:
“Instead of providing reasonable accommodations for some students facing unique circumstances, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System made a radical change to their shower, locker room and restroom policy for all students…They should have waited for the courts to make a decision instead of purposely breaking state law.”
