Drug Already Available May Prevent Cancer
CHARLOTTE, NC — You Could be looking at a major breakthrough in breast cancer research. Scientist are saying a drug that’s already out on the market could help prevent breast cancer in high risk women. The drug called Denosumab is currently used to treat osteoporosis. Scientists found the drug was able to stop tumors from growing in mice and are now planning to do clinical trials. They say it could take up to ten years to see solid results.
