CDC Says Popular Flu Vaccine Not Effective
CHARLOTTE, NC– Bad news for kids and needle phobes tonight. The popular, needle-free Flumist vaccine has not protected kids or adults against flu for the past 3 years.
The CDC say it shouldn’t be used this coming flu season after comparing it with the standard flu shot. The change will have a big impact on kids – an estimated one-third of all flu vaccinations to kids are in the nasal spray form.
